Love Island star Lucinda Strafford has expressed her shock over Liam Reardon’s behaviour towards her close friend Millie Court in Casa Amor, saying that she’s ‘praying’ they could still end up together.

Before Casa Amor began on this year’s series of Love Island, Millie and Liam were going from strength to strength, seemingly inseparable as they looked set on becoming strong contenders to win the entire competition.

However, while Millie has remained loyal to Liam in his absence, he has cracked on with Lillie Haynes in Casa Amor, kissing the newcomer while also explaining he still has a connection with Millie.

Following Lucinda’s dumping from Love Island with Aaron Francis, she’s been able to watch the drama unfold from afar and is astounded by how Liam has acted.

‘Millie is my absolute girl in there and she and Liam were going amazingly and were so strong when I left but since Casa Amor I am praying, I am keeping everything crossed that Liam does not leave Millie,’ Lucinda told MailOnline, having first entered the villa with Lucinda.

‘I am shocked by his behaviour. Jake and Teddy stayed outside, and Liam slept in a bed with Lillie… I know Millie really likes Liam and I really hope they don’t break up to be honest. They were like my mum and dad in there.’

Lucinda added that while she ‘loves’ Liberty Poole and Jake Cornish, she feels a ‘special connection’ with Millie because they joined the show together.

Earlier this week, Millie’s best friend Ryan Lloyd, who’s running her social media while she’s on Love Island, spoke out over the shocking Liam twist, writing: ‘We’re going to be mature and ignore that past hour, SO what did everyone have for dinner.’

In the comments, he added: ‘I’ve got a glass of pink gin & Miley on full blast ready. Honestly who needs men x.’

Meanwhile Liam’s sister Niamh hit back at trolls after the bricklayer received threatening messages on social media.

‘With this type of programme there will be judgments but any vile, vulgar or threatening messages will not be tolerated. He’s my younger brother,’ she said.

Love Island returns tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and is available to watch on ITV Hub.
