‘My Style Is Perfectly Matched up for His’- Uriah Hall Aiming for Israel Adesanya Fight Ahead of UFC Vegas 33

UFC Vegas 33 takes place this Saturday. A middleweight clash between long-time UFC fighter Uriah Hall and Sean Strickland will be the main event on the night. Strickland and Hall are ranked 8th and 11th respectively in the division and will be aiming to take a step forward with a win this weekend.

Hall shared his thoughts on his upcoming fight with Strickland in the pre-fight press conference. He also mentioned that he has his sights set on champion Israel Adesanya. Hall said, “I am looking forward to the champ, man. I got nothing bad to say. I’m not here to start any BS. … But I’m excited because, you know, he came onto the platform and he has an exciting style.”

Showtime’ continued, “I think my style is perfectly matched up for his. But, you know, you got to play the game. There’s a few dudes ahead of me, so I’ve got to take them out and get to him. But he’s the motivation because I like that style. I understand that style – and again, nothing bad to say about him. He’s a champ. He got to where he had to get to, he played his role. He did his job, and I just want a crack at it. That’s it” (h/t  mmajunkie.usatoday.com)

Uriah Hall vs Sean Strickland:- Preview

Sean Strickland goes into the fight against Hall on the back of an impressive four-fight win streak. ‘Tarzan’ has secured two of his four wins via stoppage and the other two have been lopsided unanimous decision wins. Strickland has come into his own over the past few fights and looks like a legitimate title threat at 185-pounds.

Uriah Hall on the other hand, is also on a four-fight win streak. He has secured four of those three wins via stoppage. Hall’s most recent outing was his fight against Chris Weidman which ended due to a gruesome injury to Weidman’s leg earlier this year. Although Hall is not facing someone higher up in the rankings than him, it is still a good opportunity for him to not only extend his win streak but also mount a serious title challenge against Israel Adesanya.
