UFC Vegas 33 Weigh Ins: Former Flyweight Champion Nicco Montano Misses Weight Again by a Huge 7lbs Margin

The UFC is back with another Fight Night event this weekend. The UFC Fight Night: Hall vs Strickland event will take place at the Apex Centre. This weekend the middleweight clash between Uriah Hall and Sean Strickland will headline the event.

Hall is returning to the UFC for the first time since his victory against Chris Weidman at UFC 261. His opponent Strickland last fought at the UFC Vegas 25 event and won against Krzysztof Jotko. The co-main event of the night is also an entertaining affair where Kyung Ho Kang faces bantamweight prospect Rani Yahya.

Apart from these fights, there are plenty of other fights scheduled for the event that promise some entertaining action.

UFC Vegas 33: Weigh-In Results

Starting with the main event Sean Strickland weighed in comfortably at (185). His opponent ‘Prime Time’ also made weight comfortably at (185.5). The co-main event fighters Ho Kang and Yahya also weighed in successfully with both the fighters coming in at (136).

Coming to the welterweight fight between Niklas Stolze and Jared Gooden. Stolze made weight comfortably at (170.5), with Gooden coming in at (171) to make the match official.

Rounding up the UFC main card were fighters Bryan Barberena and Jason Witt, both of whom came in at (170.5) to make their welterweight fight official.

UFC Vegas 33: Fighters who missed weight

In the preliminary cards, the fight between Nicco Montano and Wu Yanan was highly anticipated. However, Montano missed weight as she came in at (143) for her Bantamweight clash. Philip Rowe (173.5) also came in higher for his welterweight fight against Orion Cosce (170.5).

While the fight between Rowe and Cosce might still happen with a fine for Rowe. It seems highly unlikely that Montano will be allowed to compete after such a high weight miss.

Fighter Ronnie Lawrence never made it to the scale and therefore that fight is also not expected to take place.
