I’m 25 and my girlfriend, who’s 26, told me she’d slept with 60 men or so.
Previously she’d said there were only six.
I was angry and if I had known about her sexual experiences from the start, I would have walked away.
By the time I wrote to you, I was in love with her and we had a two-year- old son together.
But I did feel betrayed – and depressed about the situation.
Over the course of several weeks of correspondence, you helped me see that my girlfriend was committed to me, was no longer interested in other guys and that I would be foolish to throw away a loving family because of my misgivings over her past.
You suggested I talk to a counsellor about my feelings, which I did. That really helped.
I realised I’d been keeping it all inside, which was making my anxiety worse. I’m so thankful I wrote to you.
