Love Island star Lillie Haynes has spoken out about her connection with Liam Reardon in Casa Amor, revealing they were ‘like a couple’ despite him being in a strong couple with Millie Court.

Fans were left completely unimpressed as Liam got cosy with Lillie while he was away in Casa Amor, sharing a bed with her and kissing her outside of challenges, while Millie stayed loyal to him in the main villa.

While he returned back to the villa single, Millie’s delight was cut short when the single Casa Amor girls were invited back and Lillie revealed everything.

Speaking out after her exit, the 22-year-old said: ‘When I found out Liam hadn’t chosen me, I felt misled. He’d been giving me what I wanted to hear and I was convinced he was the one.

‘He made me feel as if I had a really strong chance of going back to the villa with him. He was very hands-on — we were like a couple in there.’

She added to The Sun on Sunday of telling Millie what went on: ‘I didn’t do it to cause drama or be petty, but I wanted her to know to be a bit wary of him. I had nothing to lose and nothing to gain at that point.’

During the explosive Casa Amor recoupling, Lillie said she had a connection with one of the boys and felt ‘like it was very reciprocated.’

‘I’m just surprised I’m stood here right now,’ she added.

‘Who did you have a connection with?’ host Laura Whitmore asked, while Lillie responded: ‘Liam.’

‘The actions were pretty equal, we shared a bed together, kissing outside challenges,’ Lillie revealed, as Millie said: ‘That’s f**king disgusting’.

Since the brutal scenes aired, Lillie’s family have pleaded with viewers not to spread hate.

They wrote that Lillie had hoped she would ‘find a connection’ with someone special, adding that they have ‘full respect’ for Jake Cornish and Teddy Soares for staying loyal to Liberty Poole and Faye Winter by sleeping outside the whole time they were in Casa Amor.

‘The other lads wanted to get to know the new girls, share their beds and kiss them etc,’ they said.

‘Only one person has behaved badly towards Millie and it most definitely was NOT Lillie. The truth will always come out … and probably sooner than you think.’

Lillie’s family urged Love Island fans to ‘think hard before typing and who you direct any hate towards’.

‘Better still, Don’t hate #bekind and remember these are just a group of gorgeous young people enjoying the holiday experience of a lifetime for an entertainment TV show,’ they wrote.

Love Island returns Sunday at 9pm on ITV2.
