Derrick Lewis will fight Ciryl Gane at UFC 265 next weekend. The interim heavyweight title will be on the line for this match Stylistically, the fight is intriguing as both Gane and Lewis have completely different styles. UFC welterweight and former title challenger, Gilbert Burns gave his prediction for the contest next weekend.

“Man, Gane is looking very good in the last couple of fights. But, even though the brain wants to go with Ciryl Gane, I freaking love Derrick Lewis. Freaking ‘The Black Beast’ I am a fan. I want him to win, it’s gonna be a tough one,” said Burns.

“But, he can make it happen, he is a freaking professional. We call him a big couple of guys we call him a professional brawler. That guy can brawl. It’s not that he’s gonna lose, no, he’s a professional brawler. He can brawl you know. Even though Gane is very technical, he can make that brawl. If he can make it happen, I got Derrick Lewis,” he said.

“I think he finishes, he is a professional brawler. Like a different level of brawl. That’ll be crazy one, I can not wait for this one. I’m excited,” Burns added further.

The winner of the main event next weekend is expected to take on Francis Ngannou for the undisputed heavyweight title next. Also, with the interim title on the line, the winner should get pay-per-view points when they eventually fight for the undisputed belt.

“It’s unfortunate what happened to Francis but I see a better way. I see a contender, Derrick or Ciryl gonna get to a title shot, gonna become an interim champion and gonna make crazy pay-per-view money fighting Francis, so it’s a great opportunity,” said Burns.
