Cops seize doorcam footage after Logan, 5, found dead in river after ‘isolating with mum & stepdad’ before death

MURDER cops have seized doorbell footage after a five-year-old boy was found dead in a river after isolating with his mum and stepdad.

Little Logan Williamson was reported missing at around 5.45am on Saturday from his home in Bridgend, South Wales.

Logan was found dead in the Ogmore River

Angharad Williamson and fiance Jay Cole had been isolating with Logan

Tragically his body was later discovered in the Ogmore River near Pandy Park.

Police confirmed a 39-year-old man, 30-year-old woman and 13-year-old boy have been arrested on suspicion of murder.

Forensic officers were today pictured combing for clues at Logan’s home near the river where he was found dead.

They have reportedly removed doorbell footage from the scene while they investigate.

‘BEAUTIFUL’

It is understood Logan had been self-isolating for two weeks with his mum Angharad Williamson and stepdad Jay Cole while recovering from Covid before his death.

Tributes have now flooded in for the youngster after the tragedy on Saturday.

One family friend said on Facebook: “He was a beautiful boy. He was kind, funny, polite, handsome and clever. He is loved unconditionally and has unfortunately lost his life.”

Another said: “Logan was the cutest kid, always smiling and a real bundle of energy.

“Everyone is in a complete state of shock, we just can’t make sense of what has happened.”

‘KINDEST BOY’

One local, who laid flowers with her five-year-old daughter, said: “Logan was very smart, intelligent, happy and polite.

“He was in the same school as my daughter and for the last few weeks he had Covid and was self isolating.

“He was lovely – he had a smile that would light up the world.”

A neighbour said Logan was “the kindest boy you could meet” and “always looked so happy”.

She added: “He had a lovely mischievous smile and was a cheeky chap.”

Floral tributes and teddies have also been left at the scene of the horror to the “sweetest angel there is”.

South Wales Police said: “We can confirm that following reports of concerns for a missing five year old boy in #Sarn#Bridgend and the subsequent finding of the body in the Ogmore River near Pandy Park, three people have been arrested.”

The force added: “We are not looking for anyone else in relation to this incident.”

TRAGIC DISCOVERY

Cops were called to reports of a missing five-year-old at 5.45am on Saturday.

Horrified neighbours reported hearing screams of “the back door was open” coming from the house.

Forensic officers were seen scouring paths leading from the family home in Bridgend to the river, which is less than quarter of a mile away.

Logan was discovered in the water and rushed to hospital, where it was confirmed he had tragically passed away.

Chief Inspector Geraint White said yesterday: “Our condolences go out to the family of the young boy and our thoughts are with them.

“We have been in regular contact with the family throughout today, and will ensure they are promptly updated of any significant developments.”

He added: “We are keeping an open mind and are working hard to establish the full circumstances of his death so that we can provide answers to his family.
