Recently, John Isner won the ATP Atlanta Open title. It has been one of his most successful tournaments as he won it for the sixth time. In doing so, he has joined the elite list of players such as Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, and Novak Djokovic of being able to win an event on so many occasions.

Reflecting on Isner’s win, he beat Brandon Nakashima in straight sets, 7-6(8) 7-5. During the event, he beat players such as Taylor Fritz and Jock Sock. With this win, John captured his first title of the season.
Coming onto the big Americans season, he missed the initial part of the season, skipping the early part in Australia. He played in Mexico and Miami but suffered early-round exits.
After that, he was seen on the clay courts of Madrid. He did perform better but his journey was halted in the quarterfinal by Dominic Thiem. Later came the French Open, in which he lost in the third round to eventual finalist Stefanos Tsitsipas.

At the Wimbledon Championships, he lost in the opening round. However, things started to improve for the American player once he reached Los Cabos. He lost in the semifinal to Brandon Nakashima and got the better of him in the final yesterday. It’s great to see John back to winning ways and we wish him all the luck for the upcoming events.
