The documentary film focuses on the dramatic journeys of former conversion therapy leaders, current members, and a survivor, and chronicles the ‘ex-gay’ movement’s rise to power, its unscientific influence, and its legacy of profound harm.
From executive producers Ryan Murphy and Jason Blum, and director Kristine Stolakis, Pray Away goes back to the 1970s where five men are struggling with being gay in their Evangelical church.
As a result, they started a Bible study to help each other leave the ‘homosexual lifestyle’. They quickly received over 25,000 letters from people asking for help and formalized as Exodus International, the largest and most controversial conversion therapy organization in the world.
But leaders struggled with a secret: their own ‘same-sex attractions’ never went away. After years as superstars in the religious right, many of these men and women have come out as LGBTQ+, disavowing the very movement they helped start.

When one thinks about the life that Paris Hilton leads, you would imagine that many things in her life are simply handed to her on a silver platter.
In Paris’ new show Cooking with Paris, she’ll be the one serving up the dishes as she takes on the challenge of figuring out new recipes, using ingredients she’s never come across before, and getting to grips with unfamiliar kitchen appliances.
In addition to Kim Kardashian, other stars who are going to be making guest appearances on Cooking with Paris include Nikki Glaser, Demi Lovato, Saweetie, Lele Pons, Kathy Hilton, and Nicky Hilton.
The Kissing Booth 3 (August 11)
The Kissing Booth film series will finally come to a conclusion this month as fans get to see where Elle will end up in the end.
The Kissing Booth 2 ended on a decisive cliffhanger, as Elle has to choose between attending university with her best friend (Courtney) or her boyfriend (Elordi), after lying to them both and denying she had got accepted anywhere.
Now Elle has one last summer with both of her favorite guys before she ends up having to make the biggest decision of her life.
The Chair (August 20)
The Chair has been described as a ‘dramedy’ that will focus on the chair of an English Department at a major university Dr. Ji-Yoon Kim (played by Sandra Oh).
The workplace comedy is the first TV series written and produced by Amanda Peet, who is better known for her acting work in Brockmire and 2012.
Her husband David Benioff will also be executive producing, along with his working partner D.B. Weiss, Game of Thrones producer Bernie Caulfield and Daniel Gray Longino.
Consisting of six, half-hour episodes, the drama begins when the prestigious (fictional) university is tarnished by scandal after a professor has been accused of improper behavior, and the investigation is made all the more complicated by his well-liked status, and his potential relationship with Dr. Kim.

The world of the hit Netflix series The Witcher expands in this anime origin story, which is set to follow Vesemir, a veteran Witcher of Kaer Morhen.
While most fans of the show may know Vesemir as the mentor of Geralt, this movie will take place a long time before that.
Netflix promises the movie will focus on Vesemir and his amid attempts to save a kingdom from a strange new monster while also confronting the demons of his past.
‘Before Geralt, there was his mentor Vesemir – a swashbuckling young Witcher who escaped a life of poverty to slay monsters for coin,’ it said. ‘But when a strange new monster begins terrorizing a politically-fraught kingdom, Vesemir finds himself on a frightening adventure that forces him to confront the demons of his past.’
