Team Spain is a tough opponent irrespective of how they played in their last match. They’re a #2 FIBA ranked squad and also the World Cup champions. Led by Ricky Rubio, the Spanish side is a rotation-heavy unit and lacks stars in the starting roster. For them to match with the highly athletic American team will not come easy. In the group stage, their offensive average remained 85.3 points, almost a 20-point difference from the states.
Team USA, on the other hand, is enjoying the comeback of Kevin Durant after some initial troubles. Plus, Jayson Tatum is increasingly proving as a clutch performer, joining hands with Damian Lillard as a prolific long-range shooter.
