Joanna Page has revealed she and husband James Thornton are expecting their fourth child together, as she shared a photo of her bump on Instagram.

The Gavin and Stacey star, 44, shared a photo of her in a flowing white dress as she told her followers: ‘Well, this is a surprise!! Baby number 4 on the way! It’s going to be a busy Christmas!’

Former Emmerdale star James, 45, shared the same snap, gushing: ‘My wonderful wife @iamjoannapage is pregnant and doesn’t she look amazing!!! We are having baby number 4! #almostafiveasideteam #nosleep.’

Joanna joked in response to his hashtag: ‘If we got 3 guinea pigs, another dog and a tortoise we’d be a full football team!’

The couple already share daughter Eva, who was born in 2013, and sons Kit and Noah who were born in 2015 and 2016.

James and Joanna’s lockdown pregnancy comes after she admitted the couple used to sneak in alone time in the bedroom while their children were at school.

She told The Sun in December: ‘We spent the whole of the first lockdown arguing and threatening to divorce each other.

‘Then we went through a month of literally not saying a single word to each other. We came out of that a bit numb and deadened and desperate for anything we could get because we just argued so much.

‘“Let’s get some sex in before we have to pick the kids up from school” — that’s how desperate we’d got.’

Their lockdown experience mirrored the storyline of Joanna’s character, Stacey Shipman in Gavin and Stacey’s 2019 Christmas special, where she and Gavin attempted to reignite the spark in their marriage after their sex life dried up following the birth of their children.

Joanna also addressed whether fans of the show will get another episode or series, saying last year that she ‘can’t imagine they could leave it the way they did’.
