Some users reported slow loading times.

A Twitter spokesperson told The Sun: “We know some people were having trouble using Twitter. This issue has now been resolved.”

The Downdetector website claimed that around 60% of reported issues were with the Twitter website.

Another 34% of reported problems related to the iOS app.

The online platform received far fewer reports about problems with Twitter’s Android app.

Downdector reported problems at 09:45 EDT (14:45 BST).

It later claimed reverted its claim to “user reports indicate no current problems at Twitter.”

It’s not clear how many users were affected by the issue.
