The hearts of Love Island fans were breaking across the nation as Abigail Rawlings burst into tears over her predicament with Mary Bedford as they shared a candid one-on-one.
During last night’s episode of the ITV programme, Abi decided to couple up with Dale Mehmet during the recoupling ceremony, having previously had a romance with Toby Aromolaran.
However, this left Casa Amor newcomer Mary in tears, as she had also been forging a connection with Dale.
Tonight, after Abi told Dale that she hadn’t realised how close he and Mary had become, he took Mary to the terrace, with the pair sharing their first kiss before Abi emerged, asking to have a chat with Mary.
As Dale left, Abi burst into tears, explaining to Mary how bad she felt for keeping her and Dale apart as they shared a hug.
Several Love Island viewers couldn’t handle watching Abi become so upset, expressing their surprise over the fact that she hasn’t yet found a match in the villa who can reciprocate her feelings.

‘Oh Abi,’ one person tweeted. ‘Please can we get her someone that truly deserves her. My favourite gurl & my heart breaks that literally no one in the villa ever checks up on her.’
‘Abi is a queen and deserves the best,’ another person said.
Someone else described Abi as the ‘sweetest’ islander in the villa, adding: ‘How come no one likes her?’
‘I’m sad for Abi….can they just send someone in for her please? I’m rooting for her,’ another remarked.
Abi hasn’t had the best luck in the villa so far, having previously found a spark with Toby, who called time on his romance with Chloe Burrows to be with her.
While Toby was in Casa Amor, Abi stayed loyal to Toby, refraining from getting to know any of the new boys on a deeper level.
However, when Toby returned with Mary on his arm, she decided to see if she and Dale had chemistry.
The drama is continuing to brew in the Love Island villa, with Toby now going back to Chloe to see if they can make their relationship last.

Meanwhile, while Millie Court hasn’t fully forgiven Liam Reardon for kissing another girl behind her back in Casa Amor, she seems to be en route to reconciling with him after coupling up with him once again.
Elsewhere, is there still a chance that Kaz Kamwi could be interested in Tyler Cruickshank despite him cracking on with Clarisse Juliette in Casa Amor? It’s anyone’s guess.
Love Island returns tomorrow at 9pm on ITV2 and is available to watch on ITV Hub.
