Love Island 2021: Two ladies neck and neck in tight vote for favourite girl in villa – but who has come last?

The race for favourite girl is much closer than you think (Picture: ITV)

Earlier this week we asked who your favourite girl in the Love Island villa was and it’s clear you are rooting for two ladies in particular.

We’ve been on a rollercoaster ride of emotion watching the women vying for love in Majorca, with Millie Court’s dramatic turn with Liam Reardon breaking our hearts, while Faye Winter’s recoupling with Teddy Soares made us believe in love once more. And what about Kaz Kamwi’s love square with Tyler Cruikshank, Clarisse Juliette and Matthew MacNabb?

There is a lot to unpack from this season, we have to say.

But when it comes to the poll in question, one lady has just ever so slightly edged ahead of the competition, with Metro.co.uk readers giving 29% of the vote to Millie, who, frankly, well, she’s been through the wringer as of late. She deserves a win.

In scenes this week, a lovestruck and extremely regretful Liam sent Millie a picture message of them both, declaring it a ‘beautiful sight’, before leaving a poem, which appeared to be about his erection, on her pillow. Classy.

After that failed to do the trick and get him back in his bed, he penned a heartfelt speech and his charms appear to be winning Millie over once more.

Faye was hot on her tail though, with 28% of the vote, after reconciling with Teddy after that dramatic postcard arrival which showed him kissing Clarisse in a game of dare, outside the challenge both villas took part in.

Seeing as 5,000 of you complained to Ofcom following the postcard, which made Faye get to know Sam Jackson and eventually pick him over a heartbroken Teddy, who returned from Casa Amor single and pining for Faye, we can understand how Faye came in second place and Teddy won your vote for favourite boy with 66%.

While the lads’ vote had a clear winner, we seem to be supporting a few ladies in particular, with Kaz coming in third place on 13% of the vote.

In brilliant scenes Kaz swerved Tyler in last night’s recoupling – after he picked Clarisse in Casa Amor only to reveal he still had feelings for Kaz – and stuck with Matthew MacNabb (before shooting a cheeky wink in Tyler’s direction) and has been a firm fan favourite from the off.

With 11% of your vote, Liberty Poole came in fourth place. She’s been cosy with Jake Cornish from day one, but compared to the lads’ vote, in which Jake scored only 4%, it seems you’re all favouring one half of this coupling in particular. Has Casa Amor had anything to do with this, we wonder?

Rounding out the vote, Chloe Burrows – who has come full circle after recoupling with Toby Aromolaran after time apart – scored 9%, Abigail, who shocked with her pick of Dale Mehmet last night, has 4%, while Casa Amor newbies Mary Bedford, Clarisse and Amy Day had 2% of your vote each.

Following last night’s firepit recoupling, the Love Island vote was opened up to the public with punters encouraged to vote for their favourite couple.

Who will lose out in THAT poll and be sent on the first flight back to Blighty?

Love Island returns 9pm on ITV2.
