Strictly Come Dancing 2021 is officially a-go as the first celebrity contestants are announced and everyone realises another year will soon be hurtling to a close. But we digress.
After the absolute magic that last year’s run brought us in lockdown we can’t wait to see who will be taking to the floor this time.
There are four – count them – new professional dancers in the mix as well, ready to show off what they can do.
We will soon find out who the first three celebrity dancers are for 2021 courtesy of The One Show tonight.
Some of the rumoured stars include Rio Ferdinand, Alan Carr Louise Minchin, Maya Jama and Selling Sunset star Christine Quinn.
Head judge Shirley has already hinted we’re in for a treat this year, saying on Loose Women: ‘Of all panels, you have never seen such celebrities as you are going to see on this particular show’.
So when will we actually see them in action?
When does Strictly 2021 start?
We have no official start date for Strictly Come Dancing 2021 yet as the celebs will only just be starting rehearsals for the launch.
Last year’s launch aired on October 17 and the live shows kicked off a week later.
This series will reportedly run for around 13 weeks.

Who won Strictly 2020?
Comedian and actor Bill Bailey shocked the nation with his fancy footwork, which earned him the Glitterball trophy alongside dance partner Oti Mabuse.

Oti is so far the only Strictly pro to win the title in consecutive years, having first triumphed in 2019 with actor Kelvin Fletcher.
She is the second star to win twice. Russian-Kazakh dancer Aliona Vilani was victorious in 2011 and 2015 with Harry Judd and Jay McGuiness respectively.
Strictly Come Dancing returns to BBC One later this year.
