Tom Parker celebrates turning 33 but reveals he is having a scan on his birthday amid brain tumour battle

Tom Parker has revealed that he is having a scan on his 33rd birthday after celebrating the occasion with his family.
The Wanted star turned 33 on Wednesday and shared sweet snaps of him celebrating with his wife Kelsey and their two children, Aurelia and Bodhi.
He then took to Instagram to update fans on his day, revealing that he would be travelling to hospital on his birthday to have a scan amid his battle with a brain tumour.
Tom told his followers: ‘I just wanted to come on and say thank you all for all your birthday wishes. 33 years of age – f**k me!
‘They’ve got a nice little happy birthday thing for me, cute. Anyway, what am I doing today on my birthday? Going for a scan.
‘F**k me, what a lovely birthday present.’

Tom has been battling a stage four glioblastoma brain tumour since last year, and has spoken about the effects chemotherapy and radiotherapy have had on him.
He also recently announced that he would be putting on a charity concert at the Royal Albert Hall on September 20.
Highlights of the Inside My Head show will be will be broadcast as part of Tom’s Channel 4 documentary of the same name.
Tom said: ‘Almost a year ago, my world was turned upside down by my diagnosis.
‘I was absolutely shocked to discover how low the percentage of the annual research budget for cancer that is devoted to brain tumour research.

‘I want to use my voice and platform to do something about it and help in any small way I can.
‘Music is my life so a concert to raise much needed funds seemed like the perfect idea. We have some amazing artists signed up and I’m really excited, it’s gonna be an amazing night.’
