What’s Next for Naomi Osaka After Rogers Cup Withdrawal

Things have not gone according to Naomi Osaka’s plans in recent months. After pulling out of the French Open midway through the event, she was seen directly at the Tokyo Olympics. However, she ended losing in the early rounds and failed to win a medal for her country.

Recently, it came to light that Naomi Osaka has pulled out of the WTA 1000 event in Montreal. However, she would prefer to play at least one tournament prior the defending her title at the US Open. In that case, she would want to target a return at the Western and Southern Open in Cincinnati.

Naomi Osaka prefers hardcourts

Over the years, the Japanese star has won all her four Grand Slam titles on the hardcourts. Due to that, it is evident that the youngster poses the most threat on this surface. If she plays this event, she will get a week off before the final Grand Slam event of the season begins.

Coming to her season, Osaka started off on a great note, winning her second Australian Open title. However, things began to go down the order as she failed to win any tournaments after. Just before the French Open began, she announced that she wouldn’t be interacting with the media post matches.

Her decision was not well received. Soon after, she withdrew from the French Open before the second-round match. Later, she decided to skip the Wimbledon Championships. She was last seen at the Tokyo Olympics but was unable to go deep into the event.

We hope to see the Japanese talent get back to winning ways. All eyes will be on her when she decides to step on the tennis courts once again.
