Nothing but Respect – Incredible Gesture By Tom Brady Shows the Admiration He Has for Peyton Manning

Few quarterbacks have managed to go toe-to-toe with Tom Brady over the past two decades. Nearly everyone who has tried to challenge the quarterback’s supremacy have failed dramatically.

It takes a truly special quarterback to beat Tom Brady at his own game. And that someone special is Peyton Manning. The two quarterbacks entered the league with widely different expectations.

While Manning was the first-overall pick by the Indianapolis Colts back in 1998, Tom Brady was the 199th overall pick in the year 2000.

Both first faced off one another in 2001. With Manning having a stinker, Brady’s Patriots romped the Colts 44-13. But that was just the start.

The two quarterbacks met multiple times over the years to come and in the end it was Brady who has the last laugh with the better head-to-head record (11-6).

But Peyton Manning too has a trump card up his sleeve. Had it not been for him, Brady would’ve made three more trips to the Super Bowl with three of Manning’s victories coming in the AFC title games.

Retiring in 2015, Manning pulled the curtains on what was one of the fiercest quarterback rivalries of all-time. But just like during their playing days, the two have nothing but respect for one another.

Tom Brady to be there for Peyton Manning’s biggest moment

This Sunday, Peyton Manning will enshrined among the many greats into the NFL’s Hall of Fame. A huge moment for the record five-time NFL MVP winner.

While the Manning family will be in full attendance, another man from his playing career too will be there to witness Peyton Manning’s finest moment.

NFL reporter Rick Stroud broke the news that Tom Brady would be travelling to Canton, Ohio during his day off to support Manning. A gesture which shows the unique bond the players share.

Brady though will not be alone. Buccaneers Head Coach Bruce Arians who was Manning’s quarterback coach back in Indy too will be attendance to see his Protégé’s tryst with history.

A classy gesture from arguably the greatest to have played the sport. Brady can show off his seven Super Bowl rings all he wants, but on Sunday it’ll be Peyton Manning’s day to capture the limelight.
