Undercover Big Boss star and millionaire gypsy Alfie Best has slammed vile trolls online who abused him for owning a £6m house.

The entrepreneur is one of the stars of the newly rebooted ITV show, which follows business leaders as they secretly investigate how their organisations are run from the inside out.

Alfie, who is the UK’s richest gypsy, has made himself a huge success story and now runs Wyldecrest Parks, Europe’s largest holiday and residential park company.

It’s not been easy for Alfie, though, who likened the abuse he’d received from people online to that faced by the England football team following their defeat in the final of Euro 2020.

Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho and Bukayo Saka, who were subjected to racist messages online after missing penalties.

Alfie said he’s received horrific abuse from ‘toxic’ people claiming he didn’t deserve his wealth because of his background.

‘I know exactly what the England players suffered at the hands of trolls,’ Alfie told The Sun. ‘You want to try being a rich gypsy.’

He discussed the racism they suffered, saying: ‘Disgusting, disgusting. They were young men with the whole of their careers ahead of them who, by the way, got us to a final for the first time in 50 years.

‘They did their country proud but those parasites and trolls turned it into racial abuse. These are the same toxic people who have hatred for me because I’m a gypsy — then add to that I’m happy to talk about my wealth in a country where we are not supposed to discuss being rich.’

Alfie, who describes himself an ‘old-school, blood and blisters businessman’, also said that trolls had gone to the pains of setting up a Facebook group with the intention of harming his reputation.

However, the businessman says he has a thick skin and doesn’t worry about what the ‘minority’ say to him.

‘I’ve got extremely broad shoulders, people have been looking down on me all my life,’ he said.

As well as Undercover Big Boss, Alfie previously featured in ITV documentary series Kathy Burke: Money Talks which aired earlier this summer.

Undercover Big Boss airs tonight at 9pm on ITV.
