Comedian Tony Baker’s son was killed in a traffic collision after the car he was travelling in was struck by two vehicles that were allegedly speed racing.
Cerain Baker, 21, was pronounced dead at the scene, with his friends Jaiden Johnson, 20, and Natalee Moghaddam, 19, also killed in the collision.
The three friends and an unnamed occupant were driving in a silver Volkswagen on Tuesday night at around 11.50pm when their car was struck by two vehicles as they attempted to make a left hand turn.
Police in Burbank, California, responded to reports of a traffic collision with a vehicle on fire, and found that three individuals had been ‘ejected’ from the Volkswagen and had ‘sustained serious injuries’.
They were pronounced dead at the scene, while the fourth occupant sustained serious injuries and was transported to a local trauma centre for medical treatment.
The driver of a grey Kia, which was involved in the crash, also sustained serious injuries and was transported to a trauma centre for medical treatment, while two individuals occupying a black Mercedes Benz, which was also involved, did not report any injuries.
Police said in a press release that a preliminary investigation found that the Kia and Mercedes Benz were ‘travelling northbound on Glenoaks Boulevard at a high rate of speed for several blocks and appeared to be racing’ before they hit the Volkswagen.

The collision remains under investigation.
While police did not confirm the identities of the deceased, Whiplash star Tony Baker has since confirmed that his son was a victim of the crash.
Speaking to NBC Los Angeles, the 44-year-old said Cerain’s death ‘feels like it’s not real’, and said: ‘We get waves of grief. We sob uncontrollably. Then it’s back to regular conversation.’
Baker’s younger brother Cencere called him ‘a guy that everybody loved’, while his girlfriend Amanda Camacho told ABC7: ‘He was the sweetest person I’ve ever met. He was always smiling. Everyone he met was affected. Living without him would be crazy, but he wants us all to be happy and continue to work hard. I think.’
Camacho also shared pictures of her boyfriend on Instagram stories, and said his death didn’t feel real.

Baker’s mother Cherie Whitehead said: ‘Anyone who met him could tell you, we called him the Mayor of Burbank growing up. He could hold a conversation with you.’
Baker was an aspiring musician and a former footballer, while his best friend Johnson, who also died in the crash, was a music producer.
A GoFundMe page for Johnson’s funeral has raised $20,000 (£14,300).
Moghaddam, of Calabasas, was described as a ‘one of a kind person’, with her friend Ava Recchia saying: ‘She always would light up a room, and she always touched everyone. She made an imprint on every single person she was friends with.’
