It is a sad day for the world of motorsports – MotoGP legend Valentino Rossi is retiring. The world of F1 came together to bid goodbye to one of the greatest motorcycle racers of all time.

So let’s jump in and see what have the teams posted for the Italian racing driver as he parts ways from the world of motorsports.

Valentino Rossi gets appreciated by Mercedes, Ferrari, and McLaren

Given his Italian background, it was only natural that Ferrari were the first to wish Rossi all the best for what lies ahead of him.

The Tifosi wrote, “Ciao @ValeYellow46, it’s been wonderful watching you perform on race tracks around the world for all these years and it was also fantastic to share days like this together. Thanks for all the great moments you have given us and best of luck for whatever you do next!.”

The Mercedes posted a picture of him standing next to their own multiple world champion, Lewis Hamilton.

McLaren also dedicated a post to the 42-year-old racing driver. Listing out his remarkable achievements in the sport, they posted a picture of Rossi next to Lando Norris, who is a big fan of the Italian racer.

Red Bull’s development driver, Alex Albon also shared a post for Rossi. Being a huge admirer of the nine-time world champion, Albon took the number 46 in his karting days.

How is Rossi doing in his last season so far?

The nine-time world champion’s last season in the sport hasn’t been going the way he hoped for. Rossi hasn’t been able to score a win or podium so far this season.

The 42-year-old has just seventeen points under his belt and sits in the nineteenth spot in the championships. However, he hopes he can pick up the pace and seize some points, aiming to leave the sport on a high.
