Kaz Kamwi’s family have thanked fans for sharing ‘love and support’ after speaking out over the ‘vulgar racist abuse’ they’ve experienced during her time on Love Island.
Earlier this week, Kaz’s loved ones shared a message on her Instagram Story, which they’re running in her absence, pleading viewers to be kind.
The message from her friends and family said that while they understand viewers may have ‘differing opinions’, this ‘does not excuse the vulgar racist abuse we have been receiving on her account’.
In a new message posted on the fashion blogger’s Story, they wrote that they ‘wanted to say a massive thank you to all of you who showed love and support yesterday in light of the abuse Kaz’s account has been receiving’.
‘We’re so overwhelmed with the amount of lovely messages you’ve been sending through,’ the message read.
‘We hope everyone will enjoy the last few weeks of the show.’

On last night’s episode of Love Island, Matthew MacNabb called time on his romance with Kaz, having started to build a connection while boys of the villa had been in Casa Amor.
Kaz had initially planned on remaining loyal to Tyler Cruickshank, but changed her mind once a postcard sent to the main villa showed her a picture of him kissing newcomer Clarisse Juliette in bed.
While Kaz was evidently hurt by Tyler’s actions, since his return to the villa with Clarisse, it has been made clear that Kaz still harbours some feelings for him.

So when the girls of the villa decided to save Tyler from being dumped, resulting in Hugo Hammond and Sam Jackson being sent home, Matthew took this as a clear indication of Kaz’s feelings.
Kaz was astonished when Matt pulled her for a chat, bluntly stating that they were finished before they’d even had a chance to have a conversation about their situation.
So does that mean that Kaz and Tyler will now get back to where they once were?
Last night’s movie night threw all sorts of spanners into the works, as the girls and boys competed against each other in a quiz for the chance to watch unseen clips of each other.

Liberty Poole watched a clip of her boyfriend Jake Cornish talking about her during the early days of Love Island, when he expressed doubts over his physical attraction towards her.
Meanwhile, after Teddy Soares witnessed Faye Winter flirting and sleeping in a bed with Sam Jackson, it appears a clip shown on tonight’s episode is going to make an enraged Faye turn on Teddy.
Love Island returns tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and is available to watch on ITV Hub.
