‘You Might Not Be So Lucky Next Time’- Conor McGregor Responds to Khabib Nurmagomedov With a Scary Warning

The rivalry between Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov is perhaps the most toxic rivalry the UFC has ever seen. Although there have been fighters in the past who have hated each other. No rivalry has matched the level that McGregor vs Nurmagomedov has. Family, religion, politics, wives have all been dragged into a war of words primarily initiated by ‘The Notorious’.

In a recent episode of Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson, ‘The Eagle’ was a guest speaker. While speaking about all things MMA, Nurmagomedov addressed McGregor’s recent comments about his late father. ‘The Eagle’ stated that only true evil people could say such things. He also added that he feels McGregor makes such tweets under the influence of alcohol or other things and then deletes it once he is sober.

In response to a clip posted by the Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson Twitter account, McGregor commented, “I wanna eat his children!!!! When’s the last time he’s even seen them actually? His wife? Mother? How bout you go spend some time with your kids and family for a change and keep my name out of your mouth b4 you get trapped somewhere again you mightn’t be so lucky next time.”

Did Conor McGregor cross a line with his recent comments?

After Dustin Poirier secured a win over Conor McGregor, ‘The Eagle’ put out a tweet sharing his thoughts on the win. One line in the tweet said ‘Good always defeats evil’. A few weeks after his loss, McGregor put out a statement which at first did not seem malicious. “Covid good father evil?”.

Fans and pundits alike were quick to connect the dots that McGregor’s tweet was in response to Nurmagomedov’s Good always defeats evil tweet. Insinuating that his late father was ‘evil’ and COVID ‘good’. This is not the first time McGregor has made remarks about Nurmagomedov’s family. And it definitely will not be the last. However, making comments on someone’s deceased parents is not something that will win over McGregor, a lot of fans and admirers.

What do you think about McGregor’s recent comments? Did he cross the line or does anything go in the fight game? Let us know in the comments below!
