Ant McPartlin is set to become a married man today, as he ties the knot with Anne-Marie Corbett.

The pair are set to get married at a village church in Hampshire in front of 100 guests, including Holly Willoughby, Phillip Schofield, Stephen Mulhern and Ant’s best man, Declan Donnelly.

On Friday, preparations were seen to be underway at the lavish country estate where the reception is to be held, with a marquee erected and trucks of flowers arriving at the venue.

Ant, 45, is believed to be splashing out £100,000 on bills at the Georgian stately home turned hotel so that all the guests can enjoy the facilities – including spa treatments – while he and Anne-Marie, 43, will stay in the £5,000 a night honeymoon suite.

It’s set to be a fairytale day for the couple, who have been together since 2018.

How did Ant and Anne-Marie meet?

Anne-Marie is Ant’s former assistant, and worked at the same management company as Dec’s wife Ali Astall for a decade.

It is believed she only began working closely with Ant in 2017, when the presenter was still mrried to make-up artist Lisa Armstrong.

When did Ant and Anne-Marie start dating?

Both Ant and Anne-Marie were recently single when they began dating.

Ant announced in January 2018 that he and his wife of 11 years Lisa were ending their marriage, with their divorce not finalised until 2020.

Months earlier, Anne-Marie had split from her husband Scott, with whom she shares two children.

Anne-Marie was first seen at Ant’s house in March that year, taking out the bins, and when Ant was arrested for drink driving the same month, she accompanied him to the police station.

Their relationship was confirmed in June, and Ant’s ex Lisa claimed that she found out about the relationship in the news, tweeting: ‘To think she was MY friend!’

Later speaking to The Sun, Ant insisted that he and Anne-Marie hadn’t been looking for love when they grew closer.

The I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! star said: ‘We were going through turmoil. It was the last thing on either of our minds to get into a relationship. But there we were like “This felt so good, why deny it”.’

When did Ant and Anne-Marie move in together?

The couple began renting a six-bedroom home in 2018, before moving into their own place the following year.

When did Ant propose?

After his divorce from Lisa was finalised, the Saturday Night Takeaway host got down on one knee on Christmas Eve 2020 to pop the question – and Anne-Marie obviously said yes.

A rep confirmed: ‘Ant and Amzie are delighted to announce their engagement. The proposal took place on Christmas Eve at home in a very romantic setting.’

Ant later told Digital Spy: ‘It was a lovely way to end the year. I’m a romantic at heart. You know, there were flowers, and afternoon tea in front of the Christmas tree. Lovely. It was lovely.’

Dec joked that his friend’s choice of best man would between him and his beloved dog Hurley, with Ant saying: ‘He was very good last time. He has been my best man. I’ve been his best man. But I suppose it depends on what kind of wedding we have. There have been no plans.’

However, Dec, 45, will be next to Ant on his wedding day, after acting as his best man for his wedding to Lisa in 2006.
