Tom Parker has revealed further insight into ‘the realities of cancer’, sharing his wrist support with followers and joking that he looks ‘like f**king RoboCop’.

The Wanted star was on a daily walk and celebrating that he was able to keep exercising after recent struggles when he gave fans a health update.

Panning down to his ankle, the 33-year-old showed off the top of his foot brace as he shared he was getting his ‘fitness levels back up’.

‘Basically when I walk, the front of the foot drags, when naturally your foot would rise up at the front and you would plant your foot back down again,’ he explained as he confirmed the dragging was ‘just one of the symptoms of my tumour’.

Then he showed off his wrist brace, saying: ‘I’ve got this on a well – I look like f**king RoboCop! If you see me knocking about with that on, you’ll know what it is.’

The singer went on to detail how the location of his tumour and the damage has affected mobility on his left-hand side, and especially in his hand.

He continued: ‘So this is basically just trying to get my fingers and all the tendons and muscles to extend. The realities of cancer!

‘I couldn’t even walk properly two months ago, couldn’t even get out of bed really, and then just over the last couple of weeks, I would say, walking’s become a lot, lot better.’

Tom went in for his latest scan on Thursday, his 33rd birthday, and was delighted to share the positive news of a stable MRI with his fans, calling it a ‘lovely birthday present’.

He added: ‘I can’t tell you how grateful I am to receive this news. We left it a little longer between scans this time just to give time for the medication to work etc. but overall a great day.

‘Thanks to all our healthcare team. You are truly wonderful. And thank you all you lovely people out there sending love and support. It really is so appreciated. Time to celebrate.’

The Glad You Came chart-topper was diagnosed with the incurable brain tumour last year and has since had gruelling chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatments for it.

A previous scan had also revealed that the tumour had had a reduction in size.

He is currently working on a documentary about his battle with the brain tumour as well as hosting a charity concert of the same name – In My Head – at the Royal Albert Hall on September 20.
