Love Island 2021: Faye Winter and Teddy Soares set for more heartbreak as she declares: ‘I’d rather be done than hurt’

Love Island’s Faye Winter and Teddy Soares are set for another tense conversation in tonight’s episode following their uncomfortable showdown.

Viewers were left shaken by Faye’s behaviour towards Teddy earlier this week as she screamed at him after learning he had a flirty conversation with Clarisse Juliette in Casa Amor, stating he was sexually attracted to her.

Spoilers ahead of this evening’s scene reveal that the pair have another tense chat on the terrace.

‘I don’t trust people until they prove to me I can trust them,’ Faye tells Teddy. ‘I’ve said that from day one and so far there’s a lot of reasons not to trust you. But you’re telling me to still trust you.’

‘So what am I supposed to do?’ Teddy responds. ‘Just let you go? In your eyes, I’ve made a mistake, I get it.

‘But to just be like “I’m done”, is what I’m struggling with. I can’t swallow the pill, it doesn’t make sense to me.’

Faye hits back: ‘I’d rather be done than hurt.’

But Teddy doesn’t give up, and continues: ‘So you think I’m genuinely going to hurt you?’

Faye replies: ‘Teddy, you already have.’

Stuck at a loss on how to move forward, Teddy asks: ‘What do you want?’

Friday’s episode of Love Island took a dramatic turn, with Faye shouting at Teddy over his actions in Casa Amor.

‘I told you the truth. And you told me jacks**t,’ she screamed as he tried to explain.

‘I don’t want to speak to you right now, because I don’t want to scream. You look like a two-faced p***k!’

Viewers came out in their droves to complain about her behaviour on social media, with many arguing that the spat should not have aired.

Men’s domestic abuse charity ManKind Initiative condemned the scenes while raising the point that ‘men can be and are victims of this behaviour and it is not only women’.

A spokesperson for Love Island told Metro.co.uk in a statement: ‘Welfare and duty of care towards our contributors is always our primary concern, and we take the emotional well-being of all the Islanders extremely seriously.

‘We have dedicated welfare producers and psychological support on hand at all times who monitor and regularly speak to all of the Islanders in private and off camera, especially if someone appears to be upset.

‘All the Islanders are therefore fully supported by the professionals on site and by their friends in the villa. Islanders can always reach out and talk to someone if they feel the need.’

Love Island airs tonight at 9pm on ITV2.
