Simone Biles is making the absolute most of her time off following the Olympics by treating herself to a pool day.

The gymnast, who took home a bronze medal on the balance beam last week, returned to the US after a successful tournament.

And she proved that she’s just like us by pouring herself a nice drink and putting her feet up upon her homecoming.

Taking to Instagram, the 24-year-old gave fans a glimpse into her relaxation period, sharing snaps on the grid as she posed in a tie-dye bikini.

‘Sweet like candy,’ she penned alongside the upload, with sweet emoji to boot.

In a snap from her story, Simone could be seen smiling peacefully as she clutched a glass, before panning the camera to her beau, who was cleaning the pool in the sunshine.

‘Finest pool boy I ever did see,’ she added.

The athlete definitely deserves some rest after a rollercoaster time in Tokyo, which saw her withdraw from a string of competitions.

The four-time Olympic champion pulled out of the women’s team final mid-competition last month, revealing that she had been struggling mentally in the build-up.

Explaining her decision to withdraw from the team final following her lowest ever Olympic vault score, she previously said: ‘After the performance I did, I just didn’t want to go on.

‘I have to focus on my mental health. I just think mental health is more prevalent in sports right now.

‘We have to protect our minds and our bodies and not just go out and do what the world wants us to do.

‘We’re not just athletes. We’re people at the end of the day and sometimes you just have to step back.

‘It’s so big, it’s the Olympic Games. At the end of the day we don’t want to be carried out of there on a stretcher.’

However, Simone later returned to the action in impressive fashion, securing a bronze medal in the balance beam final before heading home to the US – where she was greeted by a rapturous welcome.
