Bam Margera has launched a scathing lawsuit against the film’s producers and former friend Johnny Knoxville following his exit from Jackass 4: Forever, it has been claimed.

The star was dropped from the project after he didn’t abide by the terms of his contract, but has reportedly now claimed that this was a ‘violation of his civil rights’.

The 41-year-old allegedly said he suffers from physical and mental disabilities, and takes Adderall for his attention deficit disorder.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, he was made to sign a ‘Wellness Agreement’, which reportedly stated that he would be immediately fired if he didn’t ‘blow into a breathalyser three times a day, submit to a urinalysis twice a week, have his have his hair follicles tested on a regular basis, and take pills every morning while on a FaceTime call with a doctor hired by Paramount’.

Bam’s lawyers have said that he did not slip up on the agreement but when tests found that he was taking Adderall as a prescription – something he claimed to have already made those involved aware of – they decided to fire him.

‘Margera did not slip up,’ the complaint is thought to read. ‘He followed the provisions of the Wellness Agreement to a tee, at great personal cost.

‘Defendants’ treatment of Margera exacerbated his mental health issues and led to suicidal thoughts. But still, Margera persevered — only to have the rug pulled out from under him.

‘Defendants knew full well that Margera had to take Adderall to treat his attention deficit disorder. He had been on this medication for several years. But all of this notwithstanding, and without even giving Margera an opportunity to explain, Paramount fired him.’

The publication states the suit references Britney Spears’ conservatorship, and described his agreement as ‘draconian’ ‘psychological torture,’ and ‘legally unenforceable’.

Bam also branded his termination from the project ‘illegal discrimination’.

As well as attempting to sue those involved, including Paramount Pictures, MTV Networks, director Jeff Tremaine and Johnny Knoxville, he is asking for an injunction on the premiere date of Jackass 4, which is currently slated to hit UK cinemas in October, and demanding monetary damages.

Metro.co.uk has contacted reps for Paramount, MTV, Johnny Knoxville and Jeff Tremaine for a comment.
