Jason Momoa has weighed into the whole showering debate, and wants us all to know he does bathe.

We have been overwhelmed with Hollywood’s biggest names going full TMI recently, letting us in on their bathroom habits and clarifying exactly how many times they clean themselves a day.

Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher unwittingly kicked the whole thing off by confessing that they only wash their kids when they can ‘see the dirt’, with Ashton going a step further and claiming only washes his own armpits and crotch daily ‘and nothing else ever’.

We really, really didn’t need that last snippet of information.

Well, this is one trend Jason isn’t keen on jumping into, insisting that he does shower.

The 42-year-old’s Sweet Girl co-star, Isabel Merced, appeared to drop him right in it during an interview with Access Hollywood, when she lifted the lid on their on-set chats.

‘He was saying some s**t like, “I don’t shower” and I was like, “I am not touching those scrunchies,”’ she laughed.

When asked about his routine amid the current debate, he vowed: ‘I’m not starting any trends, I shower. Trust me.

‘I’m Aquaman, I’m in the f**king water, so don’t worry.

‘I’m Hawaiian, we’ve got salt water. We’re good.’

So we can officially put Jason Momoa in the showers regularly category, alongside Dwayne Johnson.

The Rock was only too happy to share his full daily bathing routine when a follower asked, explaining that he has three showers a day.

Replying to the curious Twitter fan, he vowed: ‘I’m the opposite of a “not washing themselves” celeb.

‘Shower (cold) when I roll outta bed to get my day rollin’. Shower (warm) after my workout before work. Shower (hot) after I get home from work.

‘Face wash, body wash, exfoliate and I sing (off key) in the shower.’

However, Jake Gyllenhaal confirmed he is on the other side of the debate, and finds ‘bathing to be less necessary’, claiming that not washing is great for ‘skin maintenance’.

‘More and more I find bathing to be less necessary, at times,’ he spilled to Vanity Fair. ‘I do believe, because Elvis Costello is wonderful, that good manners and bad breath get you nowhere. So I do that.’

‘But I do also think that there’s a whole world of not bathing that is also really helpful for skin maintenance, and we naturally clean ourselves.’

We think we’ll err on the three shower side of caution, to be honest…
