Love Island 2021: Who is Brett Staniland? Age, Instagram and job
Welcome to the villa, Brett (Picture: Rex Features, ITV)
Love Island ended with a shocker tonight as new bombshell Brett Staniland made his grand arrival in the villa.
After Faye Winter and Teddy Soares kissed and Mary Bedford and Aaron Simpson discussed their future babies, Brett laid himself out in the garden to surprise his new pals.
Chloe Burrows and Priya Gopaldas had just settled on the terrace for a girlie chat when topless Brett made himself known.
‘Omg what the f**k? No way,’ Chloe exclaimed as Brett cheekily said: ‘You can come and say hello if you like.’
Of course, viewers will have to wait until tomorrow night to really see what Brett’s chat is like but we do know a little about him already.
Who is Brett Staniland?
Bombshell Brett is a 27-year-old PhD student and model from Derbyshire.
He’s never had a serious relationship but he’s ready to find the one as most of his friends have settled down and had children.

As for his PhD, Brett studies exercise and health and has spent the last two years in Madrid collecting data there.
‘My research is based around using exercise interventions and the effects of physical activity on reducing people’s risk of cardiovascular diseases. I didn’t speak a word of Spanish until I moved there and had to kind of pick it up. I was learning scientific words before I knew the word for like, ketchup. So I kind of learned backwards,’ he explained.
If he manages to turn more than one head, there’s enough of Brett to go around as he’s actually twin. Even better, they’re ‘identical mirror twins’.
When asked if he’s ever pretended to be his brother with women, he revealed: ‘We have rules, I guess. You just don’t date the same person. You don’t go for the same person.’
Brett’s friends and family would describe him as ‘sarcastic’ and he explained: ‘I’d like to think they’d say nice things like I’m generous and caring. But they know I can be quite stubborn.’

Revealing that he’s got his eye on Millie Court, Kaz Kamwi and Mary, Brett said: ‘They all seem like really lovely people. I’d go and ask the question for sure. I want to know where their heads are at.’
Love Island airs weeknights at 9pm on ITV2.
