Jimmy Urine of the band Mindless Self Indulgence has been sued for sexual battery of a minor.
The 51-year-old has been named in a lawsuit filed in New York Supreme Court on Monday by a woman who alleges that she had a sexual relationship with the musician between January 1997 and June 1999, starting when she was 15 years old and he was 27.
The woman’s identity is anonymous as she was minor at the time of the alleged relationship.
The lawsuit, obtained by Rolling Stone, alleges that the Mindless Self Indulgence lead singer, real name James Euringer, ‘groomed and manipulated [her] into believing that his sexually assaultive behaviour was not criminal and that by engaging in sexual activity with him Plaintiff was actually helping to protect younger girls from sexual assaults’.
The accuser claims that Euringer knew that she was underage and behaved ‘as though she was his girlfriend and the two were in a consensual relationship.
The lawsuit alleges Euringer would make her ‘act like a small child, and suck her thumb, drool, and pee in her pants’ during sexual acts, and bought the accuser a fake ID so she could go to concerts with him and drink alcohol.
The woman also claims that the star requested that she ‘play cool’ in public and only act affectionately with him private.

She claims that she has suffered emotional distress and ‘humiliation, shame, and horror that she will continue to suffer for the rest of her life’ since the relationship started.
A number of Mindless Self Indulgence’s shock tactics are outlined in the lawsuit, including an advertisement the band put out in 1996 for a drummer, which said they were looking for someone who didn’t ‘mind drumming for a band of paedophiles’.
The suit notes that the artwork for the band’s debut album Tight featured a drawing of what appeared to be underwear covered with drawings of teddy bears and trains, and also noted the lyrics of the band’s song Panty Shot, which was written by Euringer.
The song’s lyrics discusses a five-year-old, and features the lyric: ‘I didn’t even touch her so I can’t be blamed.’

Mindless Self Indulgence’s former manager Joseph Galus, Warner Music Group Corp, WMG’s former parent company Warner Communications LLC and Elektra Entertainment Group, Mindless Self Indulgence’s label until 2002, are all named as defendants in the lawsuit.
Elektra and Galus are accused of knowing about Euringer’s behaviour, ‘negligence and aiding and abetting sexual battery’.
Euringer and the other defendants have yet to comment on the lawsuit.
Euringer formed the electrorock band Mindless Self Indulgence in 1997, after recording music alone for two years.
