WWE legend Ric Flair apparently hasn’t given up on rumbling in the ring after his release from the wrestling franchise, according to fellow wrestler Booker T.

The Nature Boy exited the WWE earlier this month after requesting boss Vince McMahon release him from his current deal.

Earlier reports suggested Ric, famous for wearing highly decorated and bejewelled robes in the ring, was disappointed with creative decisions within the company, which he voiced to Vince while asking to be let go.

However that doesn’t mean the end of his career in the squared circle.

Speaking on his podcast The Hall of Fame, Booker – the five time (five time, five time, etc) – WCW champion claimed his former colleague doesn’t want to retire just yet and ‘may be looking at one last run’.

He said: ‘My thing is this, and I’m going to let you take this into the break, Ric Flair is not the managerial type of guy.

‘It’s just not his role. Ric Flair is not one of your guys that wants to be in the office, coming to work every day, wearing a suit and going into the office.

‘That’s not Ric Flair. Ric Flair’s a party guy. That’s just his nature. You saw him on Triller, he’s all about having some fun.

‘I talk to Ric Flair on the regular, I don’t know how often I’m going to see him now, but Ric Flair told me: “Book, I’m never going to retire.”

‘He said: “If I could be in that ring right now, that’s where I’d be.” So I think Ric Flair may be looking at one last run.’

Ric is one of the most popular figures in wrestling history, from his time in NWA and WCW before jumping ship to WWE in 2001.

Along with superstars Triple H, Batista and Randy Orton they had a successful run as the stable Evolution.

He retired after an all-time classic against Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania 24, although he spent some time in TNA Wrestling after leaving and did return to the ring.
