It was music to Friends fans’ ears – Jennifer Aniston and David Schwimmer were dating.
News of their apparent relationship broke on Tuesday with claims the pair, whose characters Rachel Green and Ross Geller had an on-off romance on the show, had been enjoying cosy dinners and long walks together.
David admitted during HBO Max’s Friends: The Reunion this year that he had a ‘major crush’ on Jen and she confessed the feelings were ‘reciprocal’ when they started filming the first season of Friends in 1994.
While no romance blossomed as they were always with other people, it was claimed this week that the pair’s chemistry was still strong and David had flown from his home in New York to spend time with Jen in Los Angeles.
A source told Closer: ‘They walked around one of Jen’s favourite vineyards in Santa Barbara, where it was clear there was lots of chemistry between them.’
However, David’s rep shut down the speculation on Wednesday, leaving us all a little bereft.
