UFC legend Anderson Silva last fought Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. in a professional boxing match on June 19, 2021. As always, ‘The Spider’ put on a good show. Since then, fans are wondering what’s next for the former UFC middleweight GOAT.
Even at 46-years of age, Silva put on a tough fight against Chavez Jr., who is an elite-level boxer. It was an evenly matched fight. However, ‘The Spider’ appeared to be controlling most of the fight, resulting in him winning via a split decision.
Now, it appears that Silva will be stepping inside the boxing ring very soon. As per the MMA Junkie, he will take on the former UFC light heavyweight champion Tito Ortiz.
This intriguing boxing bout is targeted to take place at the Triller Fight Club event. The event will be headlined by boxing legend Oscar De La Hoya and former UFC champion Vitor Belfort on September 11, 2021. Silva vs. Ortiz will probably serve as the co-main event.
