Rory McIlroy Reveals His Five Favorite Swings on the PGA Tour

Every golfer has their own swing, developed through years to best fit their style. A lot of golfers have their unique style and trying to replicate them might not always be the best idea. Either way, a swing involves one whole body, focusing on technique, timing, and precision. Rory McIlroy has a fantastic swing and he recently ranked his favorite best swings on the PGA Tour, a decorated list that features the likes of Tiger Woods and Justin Thomas.

Today, Rory McIlroy himself is undoubtedly among the best golfers the world has ever seen. With 19 PGA Tour victories in his pocket, McIlroy is currently ranked 13 on the Official World Golf Ranking. The former World No. 1 – already a favorite to many – gave his verdict on top five swings, with fans reacting to the same on Twitter.

According to GOLFTV, Rory McIlroy had to choose golfers with the best golf swing on the PGA Tour. He was not allowed to choose himself, though. Fans mostly agreed with his choice, some adding that he deserves a place in the top five.

Justin Thomas, one of McIlroy’s picks, has a very smooth feel to his swing. Some even compare him to a young Tiger Woods, owing to their trail leg position. McIlroy’s other pick is Woods, whose swing has gone under several adjustments owing to his countless injuries and health issues over the years. Some even describe his swing as graceful, despite his backswing to downswing transition slowing down a bit.

Charles Howell III, Louis Oosthuizen, and Adam Scott are the other golfers who made it to Rory’s decorated list.

McIlroy, on the other hand, made his 200th start on the PGA Tour this month. Out of that, he has 19 wins, 33 top threes, and 94 top tens. He last played the 2021 WGC-FedEx St. Jude Invitational and finished T12. He did have some trouble adjusting to TPC Southwind, a drastic change from the venue at Tokyo Olympics 2020.
