Tyson Fury has raised over £30,000 for charity as his newborn baby was admitted back into ICU.

Tyson and his wife Paris welcomed their sixth child, a girl who they have named Athena, on August 8 with the boxer asking fans to send prayers for their new baby.

The couple had hoped she would be able to be able to come off a ventilator at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital in Liverpool after she became ‘stable’ on Monday, with Tyson sharing that Paris is ‘doing great’.

However Athena was readmitted to ICU the following day, and he urged his social media followers to ‘Please keep her in your prayers.’

The sports star has so far raised £31,019 for Alder Hey Family House Trust who run the Ronald McDonald House, Liverpool, which he said has been supporting him and his family.

Sharing the fundraising page on Twitter, Tyson said: ‘When the power of social media is utilised for good it’s beautiful to witness.

Molly-Mae Hague, who started dating Tyson’s younger brother Tommy Fury after they met on Love Island, showed her support in an Instagram Q&A when she was asked what Athena is like.

‘A very strong baby girl. She’s absolutely perfect and I’m obsessed with her name!’ Molly-Mae replied.

‘Sending all the love in the world to @ParisFury1 and @GypsyKing101 right now.’

The Alder Hey Family House Trust has provided home from home accomodation in the Ronald McDonald House for the families of seriously ill children who are having treatment at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital.

Tyson had revealed he was to be a dad for the sixth time in February, telling boxing reporter Gareth A Davies that he was ‘thankful’.

‘I have a beautiful wife, beautiful kids, we’re all healthy,’ he said.

‘That’s the most important thing you know, your health and your family. Nothing else really matters.

‘Your job, your money, your wealth, your career, none of that really matters because you can get another job, you can start a new career, you can go make more money, it doesn’t matter. The one thing you can’t get back is your family.

‘You can’t get back time lost. That’s the crazy thing about it all.’

Tyson and Paris have been married since 2009 and are parents to daughters Venezuela, 10, and two-year-old Valencia Amber, and sons Prince Adonis, one, Prince Tyson, three and Prince John James, seven.
