FBoy Island ended with a bang after Sarah Emig chose to pursue a relationship with Garrett Morosky, only for him to pull the ultimate f**k boy move.

Yep, Garrett had been playing the game all along and decided he wanted the prize money of $100,000 (£72k) more than a relationship.

However, he ended up walking away with nothing because the money was donated to a charity of Sarah’s choice instead.

Speaking exclusively to Metro.co.uk about the hilarious plot twist, co-creator Elan Gale opened up about the decision to ensure FBoy’s didn’t end up get to profit from their playboy ways.

The TV producer explained: ‘We designed that twist at the end for the purpose of making sure that we didn’t celebrate and glorify f**kboy-ness. If all the FBoys decided that they were going to become better, that would have been a wonderful result.

‘Obviously, it’s a fun TV moment, but I probably would prefer if Garrett had not picked the money. Now we’ll have to figure out new ways to adjust the twist in seasons going forward.’

The series also had another fun surprise in the form of a juicy reunion that took place before the series finale.

Viewers didn’t have to wait for the show to have ended to enjoy all the tea being spilled and Gale explained this had been a key part of the show from the start.

He explained: ‘Myself and [co-creator Sam Dean] have both done numerous shows where there are reunions after it airs, and we tried to think of a brand new way to do one.

‘After listening to feedback from contestants and viewers who always said, “I wish that information was available before the end of the show”, we made sure that happened.’

Gale continued: ‘The only way we’re going to be able to do that was by keeping everyone around in the island when filming. So we decided to reward the nice guys and give them a beautiful place to stay.

‘While we gave the f**k boys a bit have a hard time and have them dressed like castaways, which was tremendously fun.’

The reunion worked out as expected as he explained: ‘It was great for the women because they had questions they wanted to know before they made their last decision.

‘They got the answers out, or at least they got the answers from the f**k boys. The nice guys they already knew so it was on them to figure out who they trusted.’

Gale added: ‘Something that we really wanted to try to highlight is that dating is strange and funny and bizarre, and infuriating.

‘By formating the show around getting those end results, I think we found a great path.’

The uber-producer also hinted that the show could focus on ‘FGirls’ in the future season, while he also teased the possibility of an LGBT+ series of the reality dating show.
