Max Verstappen Sponsorship Deal With CarNext.com: Appearing on His Orange Cap & Helmet

Max Verstappen made his debut in Formula One in the 2015 season. Aged just 17, the Dutchman is the youngest driver to make an F1 debut in the sport’s history. Since then, he has made an indelible impression in six seasons, garnering 15 race wins and 50 podium finishes across six seasons.

His exquisite driving style and unique personality see him as a favorite among sponsors. Among a plethora of sponsors, CarNext.com is a prominent feature. Fans often spot the name emblazoned on the Dutchman’s helmet and his cap during race weekends.

CarNext.com signed Max Verstappen from the 2020 F1 season

Verstappen carved a name for himself after moving to Red Bull in the 2016 season. Since winning the 2016 Spanish Grand Prix in his debut with the Austrian outfit, he established himself as the man to carry Red Bull‘s challenge every season.

In 2019, used car dealer CarNext.com inked a deal with the Dutchman. The company is a pan-European marketplace offering their services in 23 countries, with its headquarters in Amsterdam. Although they signed the 23-year-old in 2019, the deal would be active from the 2020 F1 season.

Since inking the deal, CarNext.com features prominently on Verstappen‘s headgear. On his helmet, the brand name can be seen on the sides and below the visor. Most drivers in F1 wear a cap matching their overall color. However, Verstappen often wears an orange cap when he’s in the paddock. Although many think it’s because of his Dutch nationality, it actually comes under the deal he signed with CarNext.com.

After signing the deal, Verstappen said“I’m really excited to be partnering with CarNext.com. They are doing something different, offering a new way for people to buy cars and aren’t afraid to challenge the status quo. We buy most things online these days, so why not cars too? They’re here to win, and I’m looking forward to what we can build together.”

CarNext.com extended its deal with Verstappen earlier this year

The Dutchman is arguably a prime asset for any brand looking to expand its portfolio. In February this year, CarNext.com announced their extension as Verstappen’s helmet sponsor for another year.

This means their sponsorship deal runs until the 2022 season, with more extensions to come in the future. In their announcement, the pan-European used car dealer put out a video showing the making of Verstappen’s race helmet.

Since Verstappen signed with CarNext.com, he featured in multiple interactive videos to increase their brand awareness. And with the 23-year-old in a position to win a world championship this year, expect his stock to keep rising.
