Take That star Mark Owen has reportedly swapped the English countryside for the sunny shores of California after deciding to permanently move Stateside with his family.
If you haven’t spotted the Shine singer around your local Hampshire market for some time, it’s likely because he’s actually been living in California for three years.
Mark, 49, moved over to the US with his wife Emma Ferguson and their three children; Willow Rose, 14, Fox India, 12, and Elwood Jack, nine.
However, it’s thought the singer’s departure from the UK will not impact his career with Take That.
A source told The Sun: ‘Mark is only a 10-hour plane ride away and will return to the UK whenever the band needs him.’
According to the publication, the British star has sold his family property in Hampshire for a cool £6.5million, which is impressively three times the amount he originally paid for it. Mark is said to have shelled out £2.25m for the Georgian mansion when he moved Emma and the kids from London.
The property boasts nine bedrooms, six reception rooms, a swimming pool, tennis court, wet rooms, and even stables and paddocks. It’s set across 9,000 sq.ft and comes with a three bedroom cottage, a two bedroom cottage, and Victorian coach house as well as a separate party barn, and 10 acres of countryside to themselves.

It was only a few years ago that Mark seemed set on staying at the estate permanently after reportedly filing planning permission to open a recording studio on the grounds.
The documents filed with the local council reportedly stated: ‘Mr and Mrs Owen would like to be able to offer the opportunity to come to record music and vocal sessions and to mentor local budding singer/songwriters and record their music.’
