‘That’s a Huge Fight’- Jake Paul Wants a Fight With Nate Diaz Over a Conor McGregor Matchup

YouTuber turned boxer, Jake Paul, is heading towards a clash against former UFC welterweight champion, Tyron Woodley at the end of this month. In a brief career of just 3 fights, he has grabbed much attention because of his off-ring action than on-ring.

Ever since his debut in combat sports, he has been continuously calling out elite fighters from MMA, especially from UFC over a matchup. Before Woodley, he has already faced a former UFC fighter in Ben Askren. And it seems he doesn’t want to give up his intentions on fighting more of them.

In an interview given to MMA Junkie’s Mike Bohn, the YouTuber talked about Conor McGregor‘s future, fight with Tyron Woodley, and a good deal of other stuff. He also gave his opinion on fighting UFC veteran Nate Diaz, who will probably enter boxing soon after winding up his UFC career.

“I have no idea if that’s his intention, you know,” Jake told Bohn. “I think that’s a huge fight between us and I’m ready for that, any time, anyone, any place.”

“But I think Nate Diaz vs Jake Paul, you know, is probably more interesting than a Jake Paul vs drunk Conor McGregor fight right now,” he added.

Diaz made his long-awaited return against UFC welterweight title contender, Leon Edwards at UFC 263. Though his return didn’t end in a win, he still entertained the live crowd with his antics throughout the match.

Jake Paul thinks Tyron Woodley has already lost the fight in mind

Woodley (19-7) will enter his debut boxing match against Jake. During their recent appearance, Jake had urged Woodley to take a bet on winning or losing. Woodley seemed to be noncommittal to Jake’s proposal and hesitatingly asked others about their opinion. This made Jake believe he was already nervous.

“I think he was sort of forced to (take the bet),” Paul told Bohn. “He was even stuttering on stage, saying, ‘Should I do it? Should I do it, guys?’ Like, asking the audience if he should do it.”

“And then he wouldn’t take the money bet. So he wouldn’t take the money bet, but then he stuttered into taking the tattoo bet? He was just unsure of himself. So that, in fighting, is the number one mistake.”

Woodley will be certainly under some pressure. Apart from fighting in a debut match, he doesn’t have a good recent record as his last 4 fights have ended in a loss. It will be interesting to see how he copes with the pressure.
