“We Can Make Something Magical Happen”: Novak Djokovic Shows His Concerns For Environment
World No. 1 Novak Djokovic is having a phenomenal season so far. Even though he failed to win a medal at the Tokyo Olympics, he has already won three Grand Slam titles in the year.
In a recent interview to the Raiffeisen Bank International, Novak Djokovic extensively talked about the importance of a healthy environment. He stated that every environmental issue is important and one should do everything to take care of nature.
“Environmental issues are essential,” began Djokovic. “Not just for me, I think it should be essential for anybody else. I mean, this is the only planet we got and so we might as well try to take care of it and live in harmony with nature. But in order to do that, we have to be conscious of our connection with nature and how everything in nature corresponds with our body and our anatomy and everything in our metabolic system.”

Nole also came forward with ways to help nature. He mentioned that humans should understand their connection with nature and how it is linked with each and every cell of their body.

“Everyone is aware of these issues right now”- Novak Djokovic
In the same interview, Djokovic highlighted that it is important to raise environmental issues. He believes that everyone knows about them at the moment and thus, all the people can work together to conserve the environment and its valuable resources.

“So, I feel like we should talk about that more, to raise these issues and questions and more, of course, it is a process that is ongoing. Even though I myself and of course, a lot of people would like this transformative phase to be much quicker and that everyone is aware of these issues right now and that we all work together collectively to make it right… But I think with the small steps, we can make something magical happen in the future for all of us,” added the World No. 1 player.
Novak Djokovic is undoubtedly an ambassador of the sport. Thus, fans will be glad to hear such noble words from him. After his withdrawal from the Cincinnati Masters 2021, it’ll be intriguing to see how he plays at the US Open 2021. Will he be able to achieve his Calendar Slam in New York this year?
