Below Deck Mediterranean: Lexi Wilson’s exit teased as replacement set to join

Below Deck Mediterranean star Lexi Wilson’s time on the show might be over as a replacement appeared to be climbing on board.

The stewardess teased her exit from season six recently, briefly stating that she was ‘no longer in the yachting industry’ on her Instagram bio.

She has made waves in season six so far, blasting her fellow cast members after a wild night out and unveiling her ‘burn list’ to baffled bosun Malia White.

The latest episode of the reality series, which airs on hayu, saw chief stew Katie Flood quickly reach the end of her tether as she failed to complete her tasks properly.

Captain Sandy initially appeared to give her the benefit of the doubt, but a teaser for the next instalment saw her demeanour change.

After the lack of service was mentioned by a guest, she asked Katie: ‘I’ve got this girl in quarantine, want me to bring her on?’

The head of interiors was also seen having a tense chat with Lexi, telling her plainly: ‘It seems more like laziness than anything. It’s not acceptable and I’m at breaking point.’

In the final seconds of the trailer, a new girl was seen stepping on board, thought to be the replacement Captain Sandy had mentioned.

It is not clear exactly who the newcomer is arriving to replace, but all signs are pointing to Lexi.

The former beauty queen exploded after a drunken night out earlier this season, blasting deck crew David, Lloyd, Mzi and Malia when they returned on board.

She also got on the wrong side of Katie, who attempted to calm the situation down to no avail.

Lexi eventually apologised for her actions in a crew meeting the next day, but many of her colleagues questioned the sincerity of her words.

Veteran chief stewardess Kate Chastain, who is no stranger to an unruly interior team, recently had her say on the scenes, suggesting Katie ‘showed her cards’ too much in trying to de-escalate the situation.

‘Dogs, bees, and Lexi can sense fear,’ she joked to Showbiz Cheat Sheet. ‘And Katie is showing her cards too much. She has already lost the war, I fear.’

The Bravo star explained that Lexi needs to learn to be more ‘self-aware’ over her outbursts, but suggested that the pressurised atmosphere on board doesn’t quite help that.

‘Honestly, I think that the most difficult thing about working on a yacht is living with other humans in a stressful situation,’ she continued.

‘But it really teaches you to be socially aware and ironically, the people who need to learn that the most are the ones that have the biggest problem with it, as we can see. She definitely needs to learn to be more self-aware and it’s not going well for her.’

All eyes will be on the interior crew next week…

Below Deck Mediterranean is available to stream on hayu, with new episodes dropping on Thursday.
