A new trailer for the upcoming reboot of Changing Rooms has revealed the very first look at the home makeovers that are set to take place, as Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen and the rest of the team set about making DIY dreams come true.

Earlier this month, the very first trailer for Changing Rooms, which is set for a comeback on Channel 4 after 17 years, was released, teasing the return of interior design expert Laurence alongside presenter Anna Richardson.

The team, which also includes designers Jordan Cluroe and Russell Whitehead and carpenter Tibby Singh, will help different sets of people as they swap properties to renovate a room in each other’s homes.

While the slick promo teaser had us raring to watch the new series, the latest trailer has finally featured clips of the upcoming episodes, offering viewers a first glimpse at the colourful makeovers to come.

From painting the walls of the rooms bright shades of blue and pink to getting to grips with a ‘disco sausage’, the Changing Rooms revival is certainly going to be a feast for the eyes.

At one point in the trailer, one of the homeowners takes in her newly-renovated room, bursting into tears as she says: ‘This is amazing.

Another clip shows a homeowner contemplating having a flirt with Laurence, as he twiddles with the ends of his iconic mustache.

The different makeovers are definitely going to each be extremely individual, with one boasting a flamingo artwork on the wall and another elegant, old-fashioned furniture.

‘It’s like we were never away!’, Laurence says excitedly. Oh, how we’ve missed Changing Rooms!

The reboot was originally supposed to be hosted by Davina McCall, who would have joined Laurence on the show.

However, in March this year it was announced that Davina had to step down from the project due to scheduling conflicts with The Masked Singer.

‘The lockdown and pandemic have played havoc with the schedule and sadly Davina has said she won’t be able to commit,’ a source told The Sun at the time.

‘It’s the last thing anyone wanted but she is so busy with other filming commitments.

‘Everyone on Changing Rooms is gutted as getting Davina on board was a huge coup for the reboot.’

Nonetheless, Naked Attraction’s Anna looks like she’s had a whale of a time in Davina’s place!

Changing Rooms begins on Wednesday August 18 at 8pm on Channel 4 and All 4.
