Little girl, 3, is youngest Plymouth victim with her ‘dad’, two women and dog walker also killed

A TRAGIC three-year-old girl has been confirmed as one of the five victims gunned down and killed in a six-minute shooting spree.

Warped Jake Davison unleashed into the bloody rampage in Plymouth yesterday as he shot at innocent people with a pump action shotgun.

The 22-year-old first stormed a house and blasted a 51-year-old woman known to him.

He then shot dead the three-year-old girl as she walked with a 43-year-old man on the quiet cul-de-sac.

The gunman then left a man and woman with significant injuries after firing the powerful weapon at them.

Davison entered a park where he shot a 59-year-old man, who died at the scene, and made his way to Henderson Place.

Once there, he gunned down a woman aged 66 who later died in hospital.

Davison then turned the gun on himself as armed cops raced to the scene.

The chilling timeline was revealed today in a press conference by Devon and Cornwall Police Chief Constable Shaun Sawyer.

The officer said the weapon used in the shooting, which has been recovered, was described as a “pump action shotgun”.

He also confirmed Davison, whose social media accounts paint the picture of a gun-obsessed loner, had a firearms licence dating back to 2020.

The licence meant he was known to police but CC Sawyer would not be drawn on whether the crane driver had a criminal record.

He also said there is no known motive at present, adding: “This is an extraordinarily unusual response by a fellow human being.

“Whether there were mental health issues I cannot say at this time.”

Davison has now been revealed as a right-wing crane operator obsessed with American gun culture.

The killer is a crane operator who is obsessed with American gun culture

His Facebook is littered with American propaganda such as a picture of an eagle in front of a flag and a picture of the Lexington Minuteman statue that depicts a colonial farmer holding a musket.

The gunman, who claims to be born in Arizona, has also shared a Donald Trump quote.

It reads: “In America, we do not seek to impose our way of life on anyone but rather to let it shine as an example for everyone to watch.”

Davison also has a dark YouTube page where he rambles about his failed love life and follows countless pro-gun accounts.

Just two days ago, he added a clip to his ‘liked’ videos of a M1 Garand semi-automatic rifle being shot.

Davison also likes Incel TV – an online support group for “involuntary celibates” that is linked male supremacy and misogyny.

The movement has been labelled a “hate” group with many followers accused of believing they are owed sex by women.

It was linked to the killing of ten people in Canada in 2018 after Alek Minassian posted a Facebook message showing his support for Incels before ploughing a van into crowds.

In one video, Davison says: “I missed out on so much as a teenager, I hope I can make up for it.

“I’m not advocating this, but if I have to I might even try and use drugs to make up for it, maybe cocaine fuelled sex or something, maybe that can make up for that missed teenage experience.”

Just two weeks ago, Davison talks about how difficult it is to “have willpower” when “life has never rewarded you”.

He also moans about getting older, saying: “What is there to look forward to? Getting f***ing uglier every passing year. There’s nothing really to look forward to as an adult, other than getting rich.”

In another video, he moans about being a virgin and pictures himself as a killing machine in another.

Neighbours said today his family had begged for help with Davison’s mental health issues but did not expand on what problems he suffered with.

Carol Gilmore said: “The guy shouldn’t have been on the streets with his condition.”

Jess Wallace, whose boyfriend went to school with Davison, added: “He said he was pretty shy and quiet and would talk about how cool Americans are and the idea of having a gun collection.

“My boyfriend said he was autistic and has anger issues and it’s a shame for those involved.”

NO TERROR THREAT

Yesterday’s horror was the first “active shooter” rampage seen in the UK for 11 years since cabbie Derrick Bird murdered 12 people in Cumbria in June 2010.

Devon and Cornwall Police have confirmed they are not treating the mass shooting as terror-related.

They said three female victims had died along with three males – including Davison.

Defence Secretary Ben Wallace said today: “It’s a tragedy what’s happened there. We can rule out terrorism from that event.

“It goes to underline the importance of issues such as gun control but also what’s happening in people’s homes up and down the country.

“It’s really important our police are properly equipped and supported to deal with it.”

Johnny Mercer, MP for Plymouth Moor View, said the massacre was one of the “darkest days” for Plymouth for “many, many years”.

While Boris Johnson said: “My thoughts are with the friends and family of those who lost their lives and with all those affected by the tragic incident in Plymouth last night.

“I thank the emergency services for their response.”

FIRST ACTIVE SHOOTER IN 11 YEARS

The Plymouth rampage was the first time an active shooter has been on the loose in the UK since Derrick Bird’s killing spree in west Cumbria on June 2, 2010.

Twelve people died including the gunman, his twin brother David and the family’s solicitor.

After first murdering his brother and a colleague, the 52-year-old taxi driver drove through rural west Cumbria and fired at random people on country roads and in villages before finally killing himself.

Bird was said to have argued with colleagues on the taxi rank the night before and told one: “You won’t see me again.”

Eleven victims survived the shooting but some ended up with life-changing injuries.

The horror left a lasting mark on the victims’ families and friends as well as those who witnessed the rampage.

It was the biggest mass shooting since Thomas Hamilton killed 16 children and a teacher at Dunblane Primary School, Scotland, in 1996. He also shot himself.

The massacre sparked reform of Britain’s gun laws, which became among the strictest in the world.

In 1987, unemployed builder Michael Ryan rampaged through Hungerford, Berks, for several hours with a handgun and two semi-automatic rifles.

He shot dead 16 people including an unarmed police officer and his own mother before killing himself.
