Love Island star Liberty Poole’s doubts in her relationship with boyfriend Jake Cornish continue to grow in tonight’s instalment, leading to an intense conversation.

In yesterday’s episode, she appeared to be questioning his intentions following the movie night drama of last week.

Attempting to squash the tensions, she pulls him for a chat to see where his head is at.

She asks: ‘I haven’t really spoken to you today. What’s going on?’

‘You tell me what’s going on,’ he replies.

‘I do feel like since the whole rip the clothes off comment, I’ve been noticing a lot of similar things that have accumulated.

‘We haven’t been spending a lot of time together recently.’

Confused by her take, Jake continues: ‘I don’t know what more I can say. You are my girlfriend. You are part of me.’

Speaking in a separate chat, he adds: ‘I’m at my happiest when I’m with you.

‘Me and you together are very well suited and we are made for each other. That’s how I see things.’

Could the cracks ruin Jiberty? Or can they get their romance back on track? (Picture: ITV)

However, their chat doesn’t quell Liberty’s fears over their romance, as she says in the beach hut: ‘He hasn’t given me a reason not to trust him so why am I letting trust issues from the past affect that?’

Cracks appeared in Jiberty’s bond in yesterday’s show, as Lib was left confused when her beau stopped her from celebrating with best friend Kaz Kamwi and Tyler Cruickshank, as they became official.

‘I just wanted to be there for her when she came down,’ she told him, as he kept insisting: ‘She’ll come over. See, she’s spotted you.’

While they eventually celebrated the moment together, this kept playing on her mind as she later confided in Millie Court: ‘It was a bit icky. The person I fell for was Jake from Weston Super Mare that is a water engineer…

‘That situation just didn’t sit right with me.’

Will Jiberty be able to get back on track, or will their romance crumble under the pressure?

Love Island continues daily, at 9pm, on ITV2.
