Alex Caruso Reveals the One Thing He’ll Miss About LeBron James and the Lakers

Zach LaVine and the Chicago Bulls had a lackluster outing last year. Having finished 11th, they failed to qualify for the playoffs. Someone like LaVine, who will want his ability to deliver the outputs, would’ve been mightily disappointed last season. This year, however, he has new support. Veteran Laker Alex Caruso has joined the Bulls, and will team up with the 26-year-old. After half a decade with LeBron James and the Lakers, he will have a new environment.

In the off-season, the LA Lakers decided to offload the seasoned campaigner in Caruso. The move was a shocking one and was met with mixed reactions. Many people believed that the former NBA winner had sealed his place with Los Angeles. Caruso had a fairly good run and managed great link-ups with the side’s senior players. On the contrary, he had to make way for new players.

The move saw Caruso switching to the Chicago Bulls, who are in desperate need of star power. They required a potent guard and may have just found their man. The man from Texas has gained loads of experience in his time with the yellow brigade. Though officially undisclosed, he has reportedly signed a four-year deal worth $37 million. The extravagant player seems to be excited ahead of the new season, and will now need to link-up with someone new.

The former Laker emotes what he’ll miss about leaving LeBron James

Alex Caruso has an intricate style of play; it is wily, to say the least. He does the basics right and manages to make his presence felt. With the Lakers, it was crucial for someone to be able to make passes inside. It is no secret that the team is filled with players who love their twos. Therefore, Caruso was a vital cog when it came to delivering key passes or lobs. And now, he has to do the same for another setup.

Alex Caruso said he’ll never take experience of playing with LeBron James for granted. And that he’ll miss throwing him lobs.

“Hopefully me and Zach (LaVine) get on the same page.”

As reported by Rob Schaefer, Caruso recently spoke out about the things to come. He was disappointed that his time as a Laker was over, but was optimistic about the future. Averaging around three assists per game in 2020-21, the #4 claimed that he will miss throwing lobs to LeBron James, and will forever be grateful for his time in LA. “Hopefully me and Zach [Lavine] get on the same page,” he followed up.

Do you see a potential Caruso-Lavine threat next season? Despite none of them being a LeBron, several players like Lonzo Ball and DeMar DeRozan can benefit out of Alex’s presence. This will make Billy Donovan and co. hopeful for the brand new campaign!
