Below Deck star Caroline Bedol has revealed that there is a secret fourth stewardess on board that we never get to see.
In every series of the boat-based reality series, we’re introduced to a chief stewardess who leads a second and third stew in the interior.
Viewers have seen them all totally overworked and running around super yachts, attempting to satisfy demanding guests while also dealing with tense drama with their co-stars.
However Caroline, who appeared on season six, confessed that all wasn’t as it seems on camera.
Below a curious Reddit thread penned by a user who questioned whether having only three stewardesses on board is normal in the industry, she slid in to spill some tea.
‘A fourth stew comes onboard between charters and does a huge chunk of the work,’ she claimed. ‘We literally never scrub a toilet.

‘The only thing we do in the guest cabins is arrange the shampoo and soap. The master cabin we do the linens.
‘I wish that stew got the credit she deserves!! The girl in Tahiti was amazing!’
Discussing their duties in another comment, she added: ‘We clean up the cabins and heads on charter, of course, and wipe down surfaces, but the day worker does the major cleaning!
‘Big parties thrown on land, like you saw in Tahiti, with dancers and musicians… Those arrangements are not actually made by the chief stew, but someone with production.

‘The chief stew is meant to act like she is organising it, however.’
Caroline’s words come after veteran chief stew Kate Chastain discussed a possible return to the series a year after bowing out.
She led the interior crew between series two and seven, before she was replaced by Francesca Rubi for season eight – but viewers have been calling out for her to come back ever since.
Chatting to Us Weekly in a joint chat with chef Ben Robinson, the 38-year-old revealed what it would take to get her to set sail once more.

‘It would take a lot of money,’ she said. ‘I would take a page out of Ben’s book.
‘There was a couple of seasons where he would come in as the save the day guy for, like, one, maybe two [episodes]. That’s the only way I would ever consider it.’
Could Kate become the surprise fourth stew? We need to make this happen immediately.
Below Deck is available to stream on hayu now, with new episodes of Below Deck Med dropping on Tuesdays.
