NBA Analyst Lashes Out at the Lack of Support Shown to Warriors’ Klay Thompson
The Golden State Warriors truly lived up to their name during their glory days. They lived a golden era and played some of the most thunderous basketball that the NBA has seen. More than anything, the side built an unmatched sporting culture and style of play. Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson led the side to multiple titles in the mid-2010s.
Under the management of Steve Kerr, there was a period of time when the Warriors could not put a foot wrong. And Thompson was a key part of the structure.
The indomitable force of Klay Thompson
Over the years, the Dubs nurtured Klay Thompson into the phenomenal player that he is today. Starting in 2011, the shooting guard’s numbers only grew with every passing season. Teaming up with Curry, fans nicknamed the duo the ‘Splash brothers’ for their impeccable scoring abilities. Unfortunately, Klay missed out on the last two seasons due to injury. But now, he is ready to go again.

In his career, the 31-year-old has averaged nearly 20 points for Golden State.

Stephen A. Smith ‘sick of’ Thompson’s haters
Despite being so talented, Klay Thompson, and the Warriors in general, continue to be one of the most criticized franchises. They treat their fans absolutely brilliantly; but also face their fair share of hate comments. Thompson, in particular, has faced a lot of slack over the years.
Despite him being so naturally gifted and hard-working, a certain section is always waiting to bring him down. His layoff has not helped his cause either, with many blaming the star for his side’s recent failures.
Legendary commentator-analyst, Stephen A. Smith, has now hit back at the critics. Talking with 95.7 FM, Smith made a bold statement in Klay Thompson’s favor. “You’re talking about Klay Thompson,” said the ESPN analyst. He added, “I’m so sick of the lack of love this guy gets. This guy is one of the top five shooters in the history of basketball. You can’t find five shooters that you can definitively say is a better than Klay Thompson.”
