Phillip Schofield enjoys dinner with Dragons’ Den star Kelly Hoppen as he continues break from This Morning

Phillip Schofield continued to unwind on his break from This Morning by enjoying a dinner date with his pal, Grand Designs star Kelly Hoppen.

It’s been weeks since Phillip has been on-screen with his co-host Holly Willoughby as his ITV daytime programme takes a hiatus for the summer. 

However, viewers can rest assured that the TV presenter is doing just fine as he popped up for an evening out earlier this week. 

The 59-year-old was spotted outside a swanky London restaurant looking smart casual in an open-collar shirt and trousers. Proving to be ever the gentleman, Phillip escorted Kelly to her waiting car before checking on his phone for a status on his own ride home. 

Kelly, 62, and Phillip have been friends for years and she’s appeared as a guest on This Morning several times. 

It’s not the only time Phillip’s been spotted in recent weeks as he attended the star-studded wedding of Ant McPartlin and Anne-Marie Corbett last Saturday. 

The presenter was one of the 100 guests invited to the church ceremony in Heckfield, Hampshire and was joined by Stephanie Lowe.

Sharing details of the couple’s special day, Phillip told The Sunday Mirror: ‘It was amazing. It was really fun, really nice, warm and cheerful. I really enjoyed it.’

However, he was no doubt missing his sidekick Holly, who wasn’t able to attend the nuptials. 

Although she wasn’t able to attend, she did send him a message of congratulations when she shared photos from his wedding on Instagram. 

A picture of a cheering Ant holding hands with his smiling new bride was posted from the official Instagram account he shares with long time presenting partner Dec, with the caption: ‘Mr and Mrs McPartlin!!’

Holly commented: ‘Congratulations’, adding four red love hearts to her message.

Phillip and Holly are expected to be reunited on-screens next month when they return to This Morning for the autumn.
