Fans Take a Savage Swipe at Daring Daniel Ricciardo’s Vacation Picture

Daniel Ricciardo is quite the popular face on the current F1 grid. Fans across the world admire his hilarious personality, which shows in his strong social media presence.

With the ongoing F1 season in its summer break, drivers are taking time off to recharge their batteries. Ricciardo chose to take to the hills, which he posted a story of on Instagram. While he chose to go where the air is thin, fans chose to send a few comical reactions to his adventure.

Fans poke fun at Ricciardo’s Instagram story in the hills

After the Hungarian Grand Prix, Ricciardo stayed back with McLaren for a few test sessions. During those sessions, he pulled one of his classic pranks on teammate Lando Norris. While the Briton was on the track, the Australian put out a pit board showing a 15-second penalty.

However, he decided to hit the road for a road trip during the summer break. And yesterday, he took to the mountains with a bike. He shared a story on Instagram with him in the mountains. This drew reactions from fans across the globe, with some poking fun at his adventurous side.

One fan wrote, “Ricciardo to miss a race after the summer break due to a tennis accident.” While another wrote, “Would be nice to be in his friend circle and get to do all these dope stuff.” 

Some even referenced Norris’ comments from the recent Grill the Grid video posted by F1. One fan wrote, “Lando: ‘No offense, but he should focus on racing.’” Some fans even went a step further to console him after a torrid first half of the season.

One fan wrote, “Danny, it’s really not that bad! Back away from the cliff’s edge. Everything’s going to be just fine.” Another wrote, “Noooooo Danny RIP…don’t jump…you will be fast after summer break…”

Can Daniel Ricciardo bounce back after the summer break?

The Australian scored just 50 points in 11 races before the summer break, highlighting his struggles in his debut season with McLaren. Given his contract runs into next season, the Honey Badger will hope to score more points in the 12 races that remain.

Although he struggled after the opening lap in Hungary, he finished P5 in Silverstone. Hence, it seems the Australian could make a better impression after the season resumes in two weeks’ time.
